RAA IV.V Quick Look

If we are riding the three sisters area there is the Old Tunnel Wildlife Management Area. The roads going past it get pretty twisty. And if you turn at this landmark area there is a really swell burger place called Alamo Springs Cafe. Huge burger made on-site. And the baskets of fries are big enough to feed 2 - 4 people. And of course there is Luckenbach in the general area too. I don't know status on Albert these days. I know it was back up for sale several months ago.

As far as Leakey...there is a place there that several years ago had a Saturday lunch buffet that had the best green enchilladas I have ever had. And the riding in that general area is great. Lots of twisties. Seems like the motorcycle museum was between that ride and Fredericksburg. The day we did this particular ride we left out of Mason going south through Junction and then headed down to Leaky. Return trip we came back in from Fredericksburg. That was an all-day trip. Lots of fun but long.

Well.. That's kind of why I posted to see the interest level.. I know alot of folks can't do RAA IV at the dragon AND another ride to central Texas in the same year.. vacation time and all that crap.. :)

As far as who it's open to... Well, it's Rockets Across America.. so all Rockets, of course, and I suppose riders of lesser bikes are welcome as well... ;)

ummm.... when is this illustrious ride going to happen? and it's open to .. whom?

:)
cheers

I think I may be interested too. Deb and I have been tossing up ideas for our two week trip this year . . . might make a great start and then on to Arizona and Utah. End of July first part of August maybe?
