Has anyone mixed Phantom Black without paying the outrageous price Standox wants?

I went to bumper to bumper and they did a paint scan (free)
Mixed me up a pint for 45 or 55 dollars, and it was a perfect match.
Try bumper to bumper auto parts if you got one handy,
If not, I can have some made and send it to you.
one pint is enough for the tank and back fender.

Did they by chance give you a mix code? I have a paint shop in the same complex with me here and they would charge me 45 or 55 dollars less

The paint code and the formulary are two different animals. All the code does is alert the color techinician to the particular formulary. The paint code won't tell you anything without access to the formulary charts and that's British Standox proprietary information.
There is a another way. British Standox is a subsidary of DuPont. You can contact a Dupont color lab and they will access the formulary and mix the color.
That's what I did on my sidecar outfit, plus I did a spectroscopic analysis of the pigmentation for a perfect match. Because paint oxidizes and fades from exposure to sunlight, it's advisable to to an analysis to adjust the formulary for a perfect match.

Yep, my mistake in my explanation . . . I have the paint code . . needed the formula. DuPont wont give me that (I tried) . . and Standox wont cross to a DuPont code or formula in US formula programs. I'm going to do the spectrum match thing . . The paint shop next door called a buddy in Fort Walton and they are going to hook me up. I was trying to save a step. But . . not to be. Thanks all for the suggestions and help. -D
