Rocket 3R LIMITED EDITION
I searched a lot and found this one,
i chose it because of
- its better quality, many youtubers reviewed it after cutting it open with 50K miles on it
- heavy built
- OEM is lighter in weight
- better flow
- cheaper $ than OEM triumph filter

I remember early in the 70's when I worked in a dealership, GM recommended a filter change every 2nd oil change. If I remember correctly, we really didn't see any increase in engine failures. By the later 70's we were changing the filter every change. Oil changes were done a lot more often then compared to now.

The RCM and the k&n were of equivalent weight and substance when i cut them open to inspect. The threads are substantial on both, more robust than others ive used, some have 5 or so threads and some ive used were thinner threads. The thread pitch matters i think 18.5-1 and the antidrainback matters. Ive never had an issue with any filters ive used on the rocket but the RCM was basically designed for a 2 litre engine similar to ours and its a Performance filter and thats what you asked about, i think all are probably just fine for a 3k change.

still a little confused... which is the "better" one to use and why?
or are the mobil, rcm and kn all similar?
the video of the mobil filter was compelling, at least for me.
my intention is to follow the standard recommendations as per service schedule

best wishes
