paint can rattle on newer bikes

also if i had paid $4000 and had that happen i would have been pis$ed.

I hear ya, just tried so hard to keep her new. I have a14 year old Harley with less scars this that, but it never went in for an engine rebuild so far, and it's pushing 50,000 miles. Not trying to praise Harley, it's just a fact. What a disappointment it was to ride my Harley while the rocket was down as I had gotten used to REAL power while riding my rocket.

Hi Ridefree
Glad to hear your up and running
It's tough when your bike get's damaged by a Tech..but I think it's even tougher when they don't tell you about it
and try to hide it  more so when they've done what appears to be good work..it leaves a bad taste in the mouth
If your told it's more easily accepted and less harder to deal with
Wishing you lots of trouble free mileage ;)

In my opinion if the repairs were going to be covered through Triumph Then the cost etc should be between Triumph and the dealer they should not play on the customer The dealers need to grow some balls an d tell Triumph the repairs require more money from the big boys I went through the same thing with L+D Suzuki in Dover De piss poor service and work not to mention the damage done to the bike while in the shop...ie Valve cover scratched up and not just alittle! oil tank all scratched up but dealer ordered a new one to replace it with then charged me for the oil change!....Bottom line is the bike should come back in better if not the same con dition it came in and if not Let them know and hold them accountable!

I,ve been thinking I need to talk to him about it so he knows whats going on in his shop, maybe they need more shelves for parts, maybe there isn't enough room and parts are getting piled on top of each other. I know the tech was constantly being taken off my bike for other repairs and that could have put him behind and put him in a hurry. I don't know but I think the owner needs to know that there is a problem so he can address it. I just hate to get the tech in trouble because after talking to him about the engine build on the phone just as he was finishing installing the engine, I know he has a lot of blood , sweat, and tears into it to make sure the engine was built right. And alas it does run butter smooth with no rattles. Engine sounds sooo good.
