Hey, so I noticed an oil leak on the left rear of my cylinder head. It appears to be coming from the hole pictured. I'm sorry for the poor picture quality. I'll try to get better ones. It's a pretty bad leak, and I'm freaking out. Any clue? Is there supposed to be something there?

After looking around the forum (once I stopped panicking and started thinking) I came across some posts about "weap holes" when I wake up tomorrow, I'm gonna take the tank off, and check out the valve cover gasket. Might be messed up.

I can't see the leak in the picture, so I'm not sure where it's coming from. I don't know about weep holes so couldn't say. It could be the rocker cover gasket. Worth checking also that it's not from the crank case breather. I see you have triple K&Ns and I've heard that oil can seep out of the small filter you would have put on the breather. Another thing to check is the head gasket. My 09 had a leak at the back of the engine from the head gasket - fixed under warranty.

yeah you might find it is just the weep hole, they are just little drains from the spark plug cavitities if you are getting oil coming out check the rocker cover fasteners are nice and tight I have had it happen and once tightened oil stopped once it had all drained

Checked the bolts; the rear ones were reaaalllyyyy loose. Tightened them up, I guess I'll pray that was it. I watched her run for a good 15 minutes last night. The oil was definitely coming from that hole.

it will probably continue to for a while unless you degrease down what appears to be the rear spark-plug holes as you will see those hole along the length I didn't bother degreasing just kept cleaning it of the side of engine you will see more after the bike has gotten fairly hot but after tightening it WILL eventually stop seeping
