Very nice. I just might have to try some of this with my Roadster. What did you do to prep the surface prior to your high-temp BBQ makeover?
I have an M109 that has black powder-coated wheels ... looks really good. I've wanted to do that w/ the Roadster but not wanting to spend the coin. I now wonder if this is perhaps an option. Thoughts?

Anyone tried to just paint the radiator side covers black? Just wondering if I can save some coin rather than replacing them with colored ones.

I paintted mine flat black over the chrome and when my trip is over I will do the right thing that is sanding them first and repainting after because the paint peels away and I keep touching up every week

Bryon540 ... did you just use say 200 grit sand paper? Any primer too, or just the paint? And a painting sponge eh?
