need help with tuneboy

Ok thanks i cant belive how much trouble i go to with it soI install pc5 everything is ok but i got tuneboy that i paid for and want to have it running.Just took off pc5 and try tueboy again so it connects ok no problems but tune 20355liveTune said invalid?

Quick question did they send you the live tune or did you down load it from their site and would you send it to me so I could have a look at it? Did you get a cable with yours or a WiFi box? If you got a cable Then I would definitely get in her with tune ecu and make a master copy of what is in her. This way we can compare between the tune boy and what you have. Plus you will be able to open you secondary's up and raise the speed limiter and the rpm if you choose before you have her tuned.

Wilk, you are in the same boat as every other 2014/2015 roadster owner that bought Tune boy WiFi direct.

There is no working tune for us available. Supposedly one exists, but Emma won't send it out.

Your $500 bought you an innovative OT-2 ($150 item)with a sticker on it, a cheap carry pouch, and a bunch of obsolete software that only works on pre-CANBUS rocket 3s.

I am in the same boat. Sadly, for me, there is no recourse again the thieves that are behind Tuneboy, international as the transaction is.

The product will never work as advertised until Emma and Wayne get off the Ducati bandwagon and actually BUILD the base tune for 2014+ roadsters.

I suggest you move on to alternate tuning methods, and if your still within the time window do a charge back on your credit card, it's the only way you'll get your money back.

Wayne and Emma are a cancer in the Rocket community, your now the 4th person who I know of that has a 500 dollar paperweight.

The tune they sent you is empty, it has no data in it, that is why your bike won't run with 20355 live installed or any of the other live tunes for roadsters. In a hilarious twist of fate, the only way to fix Waynes **** work, is the use of his competitors software TuneECU, to flash a working tune back in the bike. There is no way to extract the stock tune via Tuneboy to use as a base tune, the is an intentional decision Wayne made to prevent his tunes from being simply read off a bike and distributed freely by anyone that doesn't own tuneboy.

His greed and paranoia about TuneECU led to excessive proprietary security and control of the base tunes.

Finally, after being rude and making the issue public on their Facebook page because they ignore emails I think I have found the root of the issue. She made a post that may have clarified the root of the issue.

Emma, seems to think the 2012 Roadster tunes work for the 2014 Rockets. They dont, flat out. No response yet, but maybe we will actually see an updated tune or a change to the website reflecting only 2004-2013 compatibility.

Thank u so much for info my friend i went crazy about it, i thought i was doing something wrong but i l ve been fixing and building bikes since i was a kid. Including taking 2007 rocket 3 apart when shifter bolt backed off on me ,whiteout any problems.Now i know i ve been conned .Thanks again

Still working through it, the file I was sent did not resolve the "not a compatible tune file" error and it cannot be downloaded to the bike because of that to see if it works.

Sent one via convoy that will get you sorted. I have sent screenshots of the whole thing to Emma, hopefully they fix this.

Autotune, launch control, and quickshifting would be really nice on the big girl!

As I have said back in 06/07 we had a tune-boy group buy on the .com site and at that time the customer service from Wayne was great it is really sad to hear about the problems now as he has a great product.
