need help with tuneboy

And why tuneditor does not recognize base tune ?
You should be able to open any tune with .dat extension in TuneEdit without being connected.

When you connect with the cable, do you get the yellow light in the lower right? And when you press it, does the green bar move from left to right?

This is mad i just downloaded tuneecu got old 20$cable hooked it up loadet oem 20685map.hex bike starts right up

So why i paid 500$ for tuneboy anyone can explain? I dont get it
I haven't used Tuneboy in years. The old versions I used were not too difficult. Tuneboy should have more capability than TuneECU.

I just went on the Tuneboy web site and looked at the tutorial for hooking up. It looks like a colossal hassle. You have to get it connect, download a tune to prepare the ecu, turn off the program, turn it back on to enter your pass code, turn it off, then turn it back on to load your tune again. Did you do all that crap? If not, it's no wonder you had problems.

TuneECU is pretty easy and the same stock tunes, plus a lot of custom tunes, are available.

Most people do not realize how much more control you can have with the Roadster ECU then you can with tune ecu. Not that tune ecu is bad but Wayne took some liberties in writing his parameters that gives you different ignition tables for when you on the map sensor and when your on the TPS (or F tables). I just wish they had better customer service.
