So, pull into the drive way, step off the bike and nearly slip and fall right on my ass. Left boot had NO grip.

Look down, and see the whole engine covered in liquid:( Most of it dried by the time I took this pic, but my engine was very clean before it happened to give you an idea of how much leaked out :(

No idea, what cause this, but I suspect a piece of road debris at high speed:

Yeah it really could have been, thankfully the whole ride start to finish was only about 10 minutes and I was riding to my house, no idea when it split, but it didnt leave a puddle so it was mostly empty

I'm glad that you didn't hurt yourself, or cook the engine.

It looks like a failed hose - get a new one under warranty. :)

That happened to @Steel in Maggie Valley. a bugger to change in the parking lot without pulling the front hose of cover but doable :D

New one is on order, thinking a SAMCO kit is going to get ordered as well lol, good excuse to buy it I guess.

Its not a straight hose, there is a flare on it, not sure a piece of random hose cut to length will work :(

Honestly, I am just super happy I was on a short ride heading home vs doing a lap of the island 2 hours out in some random ass place full of nothing but thieves, which very possibly could have ended in a seized motor, whew.

Whelp, SAMCO set is on order lol. Hopefully this means I'll never have another coolant hose related issue again.

that sucks dude. i highly recommend a chin spoiler they look class and protect this very vulnerable area
