Metrovac Air Force Blaster

Just washed my bike and had to just post about the dryer I use. The thing is amazing. Washing the bike is so much easier with this thing it's ridiculous, and zero waterspotting issues either - just wash the bike, rinse and then hit it with the dryer and blow the water clean off. Can't even imagine how much time it saves, but it's huge. Plus, minimal scrubbing of everything means minimal wear and tear.

They have larger models too, which I'd get if I ever washed cars for instance, but the sidekick is plenty for a motorcycle. Totally worth the money.

wouldn't a leaf blower do the same thing? just curious if there is a benefit to this over the leaf blower..

A chamois is the only way to go. That way you are looking closely at everything as you dry the bike and can therefore see if anything is not quite kosher.

btw, my bike is kosher. Some folks go to bike blessings, some sprinkle them with water, but I had a local mohel cut a couple of inches off the pipes.

Mostly a difference in power and that the air gets somewhat warmed (and there is a foam filter that removes any possibility of picking up particles that get shot at the paintwork.) A leafblower will do the job too, though they're a bit larger and clumsier to handle.

The larger Blaster models are darn powerful though, I think the top of the line model has something like 8 HP... but cost starts to get prohibitive.

Still requires you to scrub at the bike with a rag, though. Plus it takes much longer. And you can't get into cracks and crevices to get the water out of those. I've done the chamois thing and that is exactly why I went with air instead, so much faster and more effective.

An informative video, until the bloke was stupid enough to direct the air onto his face, a definite no no ,I know it says the air is filtered , however numerous injuries from minute dust or debris being propelled at great speed by compressed or fan driven air into the eyes have occurred ,don't try this at home! even directing compressed air onto an open wound to clean it can peel back the skin , the air dryer is a good idea though
