I bought my rocket July 2012. Love it. Hopefully some one can answer a couple of questions. Can I adjust compression in rear to help keep it from trying to stand up in turns?? And always wanting more POWER!
Heard adjustments with electronics can improve!?

the easiest way to get more power is to get a gipro atre and set it on three.
its plug and play .
it is a gear indicator but it also has the capability of unleashing the power that the factory thinks that the normal person can't handle in the first three gears .
the factory retards the timing in those gears to help keep the front wheel on the ground
with the giro on three it is a quick bike and the front wheel will come off the ground at ten miles per hour with just a snap of the throttle
there are other ways but then your either spending more money or messing with the ecu programming
hanso would be the resident guru on mapping and is a great guy to help you
check the search function there are lots of threads on this and you can literally spend thousands to get more power out of a rocket the only limits is money
warp is one of the fastest and knows this stuff
that being said as for cornering and it wanting to stand up on ya just lean more

I have a 2008 and I know you can adjust pre-load on the rear suspension for that and other years. I'm assuming the same is true for the Roadster.

I had exactly the same feeling as you do when I first started riding the Rocket and was going into corners - you had to fight to keep her from wanting to stand up. Adjusting the rear suspension will only do so much. I highly recommend that you invest some money towards aftermarket rear suspension. I cannot stress enough how much of a difference it made to the ride of the Rocket. Absolutely night and day - completely different bike. One of the best, if not the best, mod I did on the Rocket. It now glides into the corners and feels like an extension of your body.

I went with Progressive 440's but there are others you may want to consider such as Hagons, Wilbers etc. etc.

Regarding shocks and rear compreeablity, what Johnny Canuck said is the straight dope.

I happen to have a GiPro w/ATRE unit for any pre-Roadster model, for sale at a very attractive price!

Guys he was asking Compression which is damping Not preload Std Triumph shock are not adjustable for Compression

Wilbers, Olines, Progressive or Hagons you cant go wrong I choose Hagon Nitros for two reasons
a) heard a couple guys have failures with Progessives Shocks here in Auss (but I run progressive frok springs)
b) we had a Group buy on the Hagon Nitros
I was running Fornales air shocks but wanted longer lenght (20mm) which was not feesable with the Fornales as they would only go 10mm sold them to a mate and he is happy as pig in sh!t with them, before the group buy came up I was saving for a set of Wilbers as I know one of the import honchos from my marshalling at the Phillip Island MotoGP and Worlds SBK and he was going to try and get me a good deal but I just didnt have the money at the time. So what I am trying to say is get what you can afford because it will come back to "You Get What You Pay For"
