Fixed the wrench. Now I need take the 1 1/2 socket and grind the lip off so it fits flush on the lock nut. This has been a real pain in the @ss. All part of the learning curve I guess. Next time I measure a nut it will be minus the six beers and will use a dial caliper. who would have thought 1 1/2 inch on a metric bike. IMG_0233.JPG IMG_0234.JPG

25 or 30 years ago, I ended up with a 1" ratchet no one ever claimed from the lost and found on a job, I tossed it in a drawer and forgot about it. When I had to take the axle nut off my Sprint, I remembered it, I got it out, intending to buy a large metric socket to fit it. It had a 1 9/16" socket on it, which just happened to be the exact SAE equivalent of the metric size on the axle nut, what's the chances?

I too used an adjustable wrench. Same as yours Sonny, mine wasn't even finger tight from Triumph. It does help wobbles when it's torqued properly.
