JW Speaker Adaptive 1 Find

I have been searching for a set of JW Speaker Adaptive headlights for about 9 months. Sticker price is just to much for my budget. Been watching Ebay sellers and others but no big discounts. Then I noticed Adaptive 1 models for Harley Road Glide listed by 2 ebay stores for less then 1/2 price. The Road Glide lights come from JW as an assembly. 2 - 5 3/4" lights pre-mounted in a plastic housing. So I'm looking at this assembly and wondering, Why can't I disassemble the unit and use the Lights. Surly they must be the standard 5 3/4 " LEDs. So I called JW and talked to a young man about my idea. After a little research on his part he said he thought it would work. I ordered a set, took it apart and sure enough they fit in my buckets. I have a 2007 Tourer with 2- 5 3/4" units. I believe it is the same as the Roaster. Any how I paid $387 with tax free shipping. Very happy with the price but remember these are Adaptive 1 not 2. The Adaptive feature only works on low beam.

Good to know - The UK (and European) distributor had quite a few of those listed for sale - new. I did wonder if folk could benefit.

Great find. I thought my luck was in too when I found a new pair of 1st series HD branded Daymakers for Au$350 (US$235) but it turns out they are oval not circular for a few sub-types of Harleys.
Never bought them. Still there if any one wanta them.

Nice! You beat me to the posting. I just discovered the same last night, and emailed the company and they confirmed it should work, so I may go for it. Hard to tell, but do yours have the black bezel or chrome? I was hoping for black but for that price I'll take the chrome if that's all that's available.

Mine are chrome but I believe they black also.

I dont see any black ones for that low price. If you happen to see if your seller has black ones for cheap, please let me know. I think only chrome is available for the $379, I checked ebay pretty thoroughly.

I just took a look and you are right. The price is higher. I bought mine from powersportsuperstore on ebay. J.W. Speaker 0553701 5.75in. LED Adaptive Headlights - Chrome. $361.69 + tax free shipping. I believe I saw black last week but no doubt sold. You must be careful that you know what you are looking at. JW also sells non adaptive that look exactly the same as adaptive.

****, I missed out. Thanks, though. Yes the ones I'm looking at say adaptive. I dont know if I should wait if some black ones show up or go for the chromes.
