Got my clamps on this afternoon. By-golly they look just like Pig9r's
Taking the fender off was the way to go. Plus I polished up the hidden sections with some Honda Glare polish on the fender and chrome trim pieces. I finger tightened the hex bolts into the clamps before putting the fender in place. Also had the misfortune to have a nail in my brand new tire. The Stop & Go repair kit was at hand. But, there is an issue with it. Also had to repair turn signal wiring, which I assume the 3 inch nail snagged at some time. Also drained the coolant and added a wetting agent to the fresh distilled water and antifreeze mixture. The wetting agent is said to decrease the head temp by 20 degree F. One ounce per quart of coolant; there is about 3.8 quarts of coolant in the RIII. It was a full day; and, I chased down one of our own. Viking73 was out and about.
