Installed my Flipmeister Brake Line Clamps

Got my clamps on this afternoon. By-golly they look just like Pig9r's:D Taking the fender off was the way to go. Plus I polished up the hidden sections with some Honda Glare polish on the fender and chrome trim pieces. I finger tightened the hex bolts into the clamps before putting the fender in place. Also had the misfortune to have a nail in my brand new tire. The Stop & Go repair kit was at hand. But, there is an issue with it. Also had to repair turn signal wiring, which I assume the 3 inch nail snagged at some time. Also drained the coolant and added a wetting agent to the fresh distilled water and antifreeze mixture. The wetting agent is said to decrease the head temp by 20 degree F. One ounce per quart of coolant; there is about 3.8 quarts of coolant in the RIII. It was a full day; and, I chased down one of our own. Viking73 was out and about.

I saw a similar par of clamps, similar to the Flipmeisters, selling for $69 +shipping. The FMs are the real deal.:bch:

Just a Matter of Time

I like RED and you know someone was going to try to be a little different. I have violated every warning you included in your instructions/disclaimer but that's OK. I will post some shots when I install them after the new tire arrives. **** good craftsmanship Flipper.

George:

I'm not sure the paint will stick. 303 isn't really friendly as far as adhesion of coatings go. Look nice though. When you take the fender off you can clean all the crud under the slider shields. Keep on truck'in.:D

B-man they look slower????

Flipper,

You can get paint to stick the sack of a Brass Balled Monkey with the right prep work.
:D
Brian,

I would have painted them black, but they would have just fallen off and been left behind.:D

Just the right touch, Flip. Thanks a bunch! I almost had those holes filled in when I got the paint job, but those brake clamps do the trick.. :)

yeehaa

I've been officially flipped....

Nice bling and a lot of attention-to-detail went into making them. Just wish the instructions were clearer :D

Thanks Flip.
