I want a Custom Exhaust for my Rocket

The R3 flange face is recessed into the head which is why alot of headers I've seen use the stock flange.
It might not help the guys OS but I could see the guy where I made mine and get some pricing etc.
He is keen to do more......... he has advertised in some local magazines to do custom R3 pipes.
Here is a couple of pic's of what I have ended up with......... I'm very happy with them, don't need heat shields and on the dyno with the 3 muffler setup is comparable to the other popular Aussie brand.

Your headers are beautiful Les .. the only thing that stopped me getting your mate to make us up the 20 sets was the quote/cost for the flanges..... To me the fact they don't require heat shields is an enormous plus .. I've been quoted nearly the price of the headers to have heat shields added.

yea my flanges were pricey but they were one offs.....he has told me he can do a laser cut style flange alot cheaper which would bring the cost down.

Yes Les we nead to talk. I was hoping to catch up when you dropped the switch in my mailbox. Will have to organize something.

Bloke that was going to make our headers was confident the flanges could be stamped out with the right size press. Reckons he could get them laser cut out at Strathpine for $5 each , but need to get 100 sets (that's 300 flanges) done at the absolute minimum. Lot different to the cost of laser cutting though.
