How much would you pay a dealer to Tune ECU?

I guess its just the independent streak but I would never pay a dealer to tune a bike unless that were the last option. Several options are available that are more cost effective over the length of the ownership of the bike and they allow for additional adjustments as your accessories are upgraded/changed.

Before I swapped the Thunderbird for the Rocket, I bought TORS for the Thunderbird, fitting and tune was included in the price of the TORS.

I generally agree, but I paid the dealer around 40 bucks to download the factory tor tune simply to avoid any warranty hassles. Using tune ecu, the tune can then be easily changed and changed back for warranty work if needed.

Tors

I bought mine used with the Tors already on. Is there a way I can tell if the proper tune was done? Runs great as far as I can tell. What would be the symptoms of one that has Tors and no tune for it has been done?

I think a good dealer would do it for free
Just for your future business ( if you didn't buy the bike from them)
If you bought it from them they should do it for free
My dealer would for me
But my dealer really likes me
Sold a few rockets for them over the years

Your fine........im sure it has the right tune...if not........issues would have surfaced.......You have to connect to the ECU to confirm what is there.......TuneECU software (free) and the $20 cable gets you everything you wanted to know about how your bike is functioning.....and its an absolutely awesome diagnostic tool.

BE aware - Every upload is logged in the ECU. Just saying. My dealer diddn't care - and they were happy to learn about TuneECU for their own personal use. Other dealers may not be so understanding

True, but isn't that only the map number and how many times a map has been uploaded.

Didn't think they could tell who did it or what mods, if any, have been done to the maps.

That is if they are using the OEM Triumph diagnostics tool of course.

It is - but 200 plus uploads and they're going to suspect something!.

AFAIK they can't.

Even with Tune ECU you have to know what standard settings are - to know what's been done, unless of course you keep the comments info section updated. I do - or I'd forget.
