How did the R3R do?

No hooning here, just the occasional good old refined gentlemanly burn out at a funeral @Gothlander . I recall @ponters racing a helicopter once.
I fail to recall and such occurrence @CanberraR3 . Everybody knows that I am a very conscientious, conservative disciplined rider. Racing or hoping simply aren't in my DNA.

To date I dont recall any of my mates on R3's ever doing anything outside the rules, laws and regulations. I do think at one stage one of us may have inadvertently been caught dribbling beyond the prescribed speed limit but rolling down a hill shouldn't count.

Everything I do and any manner in which I ride I consider quite safe and harmless. Conversely, I have seen some blokes on other bikes being silly and taking unnecessary risks.:cautious: I think we should take a moment to bow our heads and pray for these people, that they be blessed with wisdom, patience and a relaxed mind.

Not that I advocate street racing, but I'm curious what have you run your bike up against and what was the result?

I've only run a Suzuki M109 from a roll at 55 and easily pulled away. Don't know how it would go from a stop.

I remember in 2010 being on the autobahn going south from bad brukenau to the italian dolomites had my huge suitcase strapped to the tiny back rack .going easily at around 120 kph visor up in 30 degres temp basically a leisure ride , when this 911 porsche comes alongside revving up his engine.... remember I had the bike for only 5 months 3 of which were alberta winter months , but stupidly I whacked the throttle open to the stop Hey! been riding for so long on fast bike (ninja 900) I know what to expect ..\
holy mother of god !! I catapulted forward at an ungodly rate of acceleration my eyeballs were being flattened out in their orbit and my arms stretching for sure, could not drop the visor all I could do was to hang on for dear life all this lasted 8 or 9 seconds I turned my head the suitcase was still attached the Porsche was still behind and I realized enough is enough I let him catch up and pass but point was he could not stay with me during that acceleration we both hit 180kph pretty quick in those shorts seconds but he just could not keep up ..rocket3 ruled

Barbagallo Raceway in Perth - track day 5x 10 lap races...average 5th out of 16...spanked a few 600's kept a couple of litre+ duc's and bm's at bay...got flogged by the jap litre bikes

For me, I greased a . . . well, the statute of limitations ain't expired yet! :p
I can, however, safely report that Warpo's (@warp9.9) 240 Carp got me . . . TWICE at RAA X.  :p
PS: Head (@ROCKETHEAD) was on the hind tit somewhere well behind us both on his new Trophy!
Big mistake, really hugh there, Amigo?!? :p :inlove

Well lets see, my list is actually shockingly small, it seems no one wants to **** with the rocket post CES install :(

Pre CES, so a stock bike + my tune:

C6 Z06 from a dig, he launched but I didn't know it was coming so I was playing catch up the whole time, by the time he shifted to 2nd I'd reeled him in and flew past just after his 1-2 shift.

Some fugly hardley ableson with bags, pipes, some shinny thing between his legs making noise got ate with my wife on board at far less then full throttle from a dig to about 80.

ZX6R, unknown year, another "oh hes actually trying, leme open up the rocket" moment. From a roll at about 30, he pulled a length or two while I was reacting then it was nothing but British Iron loling at a 600 in the rear view to about 100 where we let off.

Other than that, there are a bunch of lol turbo 4 cylinder cars that get ate without much effort: Hondas, STIs, Mazdaspeed 3s, etc.

Good times today, finally buried the needle on the dash :p All in the name of datalogging of course, no fun involved I swear. I can attest that the Angry fly screen is absolutely amazing to hide behind over 100, once you tuck up its like riding a fully faired sportbike now, nearly zero wind in the eyes.

..............**edit

Reminds of some bloke (@bruce aussie ) that went for a ride with another mate (@TOMCAT ) with his wife on the back. Cant remember the story completely but I do remember being told bruces good lady wasn't overly thrilled with the shenanigans. LOL, I'd still have sore ribs if it were me.

On a ride a few sundays ago had been just putting around all day and then I seen a bike coming up on me fast so I move to the inside to let him by but as he got up to me he slowed down then speed up and slowed down about the 5th time he did this I waved him by he hammered it so when he was beside me I dropped a few gears and just held it there 3rd 4th 5th look in mirro and he's way back come into a town about 5miles up the road he pulls up to me at a light and says **** thats a fast HD I laugh and said yes had to goggle the bike as I did not know it it was a VERSYS® 1000 LT that was the last one that tried most see me out at the drag strip and know I'll run so they don't try it's not the fastest but I'm not the smartest and will go faster on the road than them lol

Must admit, when I first got it, I enjoyed the challenges. Then I realized darn near everything I whooped would kill me in the tight turns/tracks (cars and sport bikes). First one was a Porsche carrera. From stop and roll on. He gave up after his third pasting! I still enjoy playing with Porsches/350s and the likes on the autobahn! Haven't been beaten by a car yet on it. But now with street and sport bikes I just enjoy it for what it is. I can beat them To the curve, they'll beat me through it, I'll beat them out of it to the next one! Then after the ride we all realize the bikes do exactly what they were supposed to: theirs put them inches from asphault and mine keeps me cuddled on the couch of a seat Corbin made me ;) and we all arrive at the cafe at the same time!
