How Can I Tell If I have TORS

08 GL1800, 13 R3T, 80 LTD 1000, 70 BSA Lightning
I'm the second owner of a 2013 R3T and was wondering if the previous (unknown)
owner had TORS installed.
Is there a part# located on the pipes?
Probably dumb question, but I'll chance it.
 
On the standard R3 mufflers there was etched a statement that they met Euro and EPA standards. On the TOR's there was a disclaimer that they did not. I suggest you look along the bottom of the mufflers for something like this.
 
Look under the pipes, it has a for off road use only label

Huge difference in weight as well.
 
TORS have larger ID. Not sure of the measurements of either on a Touring but if someone with one or the other could check........
 
Just curious...... what would it sound like if I took the slant cut silencers off my TORS?
