I recently purchased a winter project and was going to ask if anyone has put the R3 engine in another frame (Triumph of course) I am considering my R3T as a donor to its older cousin a 71 Spitfire MkIV , (and getting a 2016 R3T) anyone know of anyone doing this?

Not seen a spitfire in years (not missing them:D) the last time I was in one my pal was driving we were on a dual carriageway doing about 60mph near the top speed of a spitfire anyhoo with a roundabout coming up he went to brake and pedal goes straight to the floor ended up going right up on the roundabout with the hood flying off along with the doors we left it and walked to the pub.
The V8 Stag was a half decent vehicle as was the T2-6 range but the rest you can keep.
One of our Aussie brothers put a rocket engine in an offroad type of vehicle looked cool.

interesting, I want to make my 71 spitfire scream like a rocket !

It,s funny some people think a R3 on song sounds a bit like a spitfire (the RR V12 Merlin one) in Oz some of those Triumph Heralds snuck in with the other English cars and a few spitfires as well, they mostly were driven by ponces in corduroy trousers and polar necked skivvies along with the scooter brigade:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Thatd work nicely in that little Trumphy , i was thinking a R3 engined mini rail for the drags would be neat.
