Hand held steamer

Has anyone tried a hand held steamer to clean rims? If so, which brand of steamer would you recommend?

Never used a steamer I always use the best and only true method it is called elbow grease soap and water get down on your knees and clean away.

Well MrRabbit it looks like we are the only two who clean our rims(wheels you sick bas***ds)

I used to use that S-100 on the rims of my RK but over time it really F****D them up.. The best thing i found is SIMPLE GREEN you'll be surprised how well it works on hard to get out dirt and grim. They have another one by S.G. called EXTREME AIRCRAFT CLEANER the regular one works perfectly for my needs.It does a great job on guns too.I just replaced both chrome rims on the RK because of using harsh chemicals on them threw the years.

Yeah but if you look closely if they're not just standing around doing nothing,when they do start cleanig they always forget to do the rims..

I have used a shark steamer before and it's ok for general cleaning ... But if they are oxidized its a waste of time ...... I use never dull to polish and apply a coat of wax after polishing....

If there not pitted I use soap and water and elbow grease then a light wax helps the next time to get break dust and there things off
