GPS - What to use?

this is what I have on my R3T, I love it, watch the video you can watch the whole thing or just go to 3:13 to see what is really cool about the Garmin GPS with Bluetooth and Garmin Ecoroute..

Question, if you don't mind?
I have purchased one of these, but have not yet installed it.
Plugged into the OBDII does this not continue to drain from the battery after the ignition is turned off?

Garmin Nuvi 3790T with Ecoroute (extra gauges)
Just a side note..... there are gloves you can buy in which the index fingers works with GPS as well as hand helds.

There is also paste you can stick to a glove finger to make it connect.

No there has been no issues with battery drain. but regardless i have always kept my bike on a trickle charger anyways during cold weather.

Guess I'll give it a try and see.
Heck it even has a volt meter function!

Gday Team,

Looking for opinions on GPS for the big girl .... What is the peoples preference and why.. Currently leaning towards Garmin... Look forward to the conversation.
cheers n beers
I just put a Tom Tom Rider on mine, paired it with my uclear head set via Bluetooth absolutely love it. Its water proof and hearing directions on sunny days when you can't see the screen well is great. Got mine on EBay for $250.

I seriously considered the Tom Tom Rider, but couldn't verify if it would pair with my Sena smh10.
I went with the Garmin Zumo 660 and am now waiting its delivery.
Please let us know how it's going in a few months with that Tom Tom Rider.
Sure is a better bargain than ALL the Garmin Zumos.

I use a Garmin Nuvi 3490LMT along with the OBD plug and EcoRoute. I was only after the gauges. The lack of instrumentation on the R3T was disconcerting to me to say the least.

Bob,
Is there any drag on the battery from the OBDII connection after the bike is shutoff?
