The good old 2005 ha sbeen sitting for quite a few years doing nothing)busy riding four other bikes) pulled the tank off(no wisecracks thank you) and what a mess, I have a new filter and will replace all the hoses I see eBay has some fuel pumps anyone had any experience with them? what I cannot find is a sender unit, was wondering if I even need it as fuel gauges on bikes are as worthless as tits on a bull.
The large rubber fan thingymajig has fallen apart probably not necessary but if I can find one I will put it back on.

@scot in exile I have used the Toyota RAV4 fuel pump, its a straight swap

Be very wary of those cheap Ebay Chinese fuel pumps. Myself, I would pay up for the oem or a known quality brand product. Nobody wants a premature fuel pump failure and the grief it can cause...

While all the sitting, was the tank full, or empty ??? Glad you posted this as some people might not know how those hoses deteriorate so badly.
