First Ride, Carpenter 265 kit

Sounds good mate, so what sort of hp and tq is it at now with the CES pipe?

232whp on pump gas with CES+Yosh.
CES + Reverse megaphone is 241
Carp full exhaust 250.9

Bob did some experimenting while it was there

Cool, you got me thinking now. Might have to see if I can get a hold off a 2 inch system and see what I can get out of mine.

Thought your first ride on 265 was last March?

Stunning bike Claviger, what you gonna do next? BERINGER BRAKES maybe, that will make it stop as fast as it goes! Or will it be CARBON FIBRE wheels, or Carbon wheels and Beringer Brakes!!!

Thanks,

List of to-dos consists of:
Install my Healtech Shift Light
3rd iteration of my intake setup, I want to improve the velocity stacks so they're perfectly smooth from tip to throttle body.
Finish my seemingly never ending quest to replace all the steel fasteners with Ti/Alu ones.
Carbon Front fender to replace the one that was broken.
Carbon side covers (ones just under seat).
Fit my Fast-Gun saddle.
BST Wheels w/Dunlop Q3s.
Custom bars, same shape, but Alu to cut weight.

From there, the only thing I'd be interested in is a Rotrex setup, but, im not sold yet on needing more power.

I stuck with stock pistons and decked head somewhere between 9.5-10.5:1

I'll post before and after numbers tonight, hoping for 210-220 before and 230-240 after.

To my knowledge this will be the first posted Dyno of a 265 kit + CES.

Edited that thread title to remove the confusion.

So nearly a year ago you had carpenter head & cams, CES, decked head so raised compression, and pipercross intake?
Now you have the same thing except (due to 'pump' gas, assuming slightly) higher comp pistons..? and apparently similar power..?

Should this thread should be titled "First ride on my repaired 265 engine"?

A year ago I had the Carp 265 head and cam, CES full system, stock pistons, sent to carp for high comp pistons taking it from ~9.5:1 to ~14:1 static compression, ensuring the cam timing was right (it was off), full undercut transmission, billet 4th gear and Bob's tune. So no, not "slightly" raised and repaired.

Power is up significantly from ~190 to 232. Still need to verify at a 3rd party dyno though.
