Dyno Results

The beast is officially unleashed. Did the triples, Jardines, PC5 and removed secondaries. Just got her back from the dyno last night and a complete thrill to ride. No more decel popping as I had with the TORS and whatever map the dealer had installed.

I initially installed the PC5 stock map for Jardines, K & N and tune ECU secondaries removed. Dyno guy said that was actually a pretty close approximation of what he ended up doing.

Now have 143 HP and 153 ft lb torque at the rear wheel. Sweet mama!

Do you run a darkside if not then the HP is down a little from what would have expected (other bikes with same set up have reported 150hp
 
Interesting your dyno guy said the stock, and I believe the ONLY Dynojet MAP offered for the PCV, were close to what he ended up with. The reason I say that is I've tried to modify the stock PCV MAP supplied wit the unit on my bike. I've tried to make "Cruising range" adjustments and I've tried the MAP Hanso sent me. All except the stock MAP caused some kind of a ridability problem witrh my bike. Stock MAP works fine.

Now I know every bike is different with regards to developing a MAP. But,,,I would think Hanso's MAP should have worked on my bike. It didn't???

That's the main Thing, the reason I mentioned the darkside tyre was that Mitch and myself tuning identical set ups except for I run a darkside and while he actually had dyno tune I only just got a read out and the guy said apart from running a bit on the lean side my bike was actually pretty close, the darkside probally accounted for part of the 7% difference between Mitch and my bike
 
Dyno guy asked me what map I was running and was pleasantly surprised when I told him it was one of the stock PC5 maps. He mostly does Harleys and said that tuning Harleys is almost always way more work and they are far more finicky. Kind of funny that he had trouble taking the right side cover off to access the PC5 b/c he had to find some metric sockets which he rarely uses.

Despite that, for the most part he's had a much better time with Rockets and sport bikes. Only took him 2 hours to do my bike and cost $280 so I was pretty pleased. He had another Rocket in some time ago which took him 7 hours to get right.

So - all in all - very happy with the end result. Plenty of power in every gear and all over the rev range. Snappier response and great sounding (although loud!) pipes. Think I might invest in some good hearing protection...
 
Johnny C, any idea of thedecibel levels of the Jardines?? I'm interested in the same set up as you, but shortly there may be by-laws in my ares regarding M/C pipes
