Lets see there is CanberraR3, Kiwi, Ruzzle, Hardrock and myself then I know of two guys here in the bay area that don't come on the forums, I'm sure there would be quite a few more in Canberra region and between you and me so there are few

it was probally tuned by the owner of black one who was jealous

OK.
Followed the instructions and cleaned the Crank angle sensor.
Started it up and ran for a minute to scavange the excess oil from the crank, gave it a wipe with a clean rag with a bit of gun wash on it, fitted it all back up then went onto the 12 minute tune.

This time I started from cold (or pretty close to it).
Took a minute of holding the throttle just cracked till it was warm enough to idle by itself, but only just.
Left it be an went about other things while it did it's thing. Was about 15 minutes before the Thermo kicked in and I waited till it had ran long enough to shut off again.
Left it run for about another minute then turned the key off.

2 hours later. Still won't start and idle from cold. Just wants to idle at 500 RPM and stall all the time.

Bloody lead better turn up soon.

That must be really frustrating mate. Seems you'll have to wait for the cable and hope that helps you fix it.

Meanwhile..................

Clearly your bike started life as a black one and only the colour was changed, or it's reacting to having so much of the chrome blacked out.

Good point Richard I think thats probally why Mine runs so good, come to think it was about the time I put the Chrome rocker cover on that it really started to run so smooth

If you still have trouble after that I can only suggest you have a TPS issue, not having any experience on that You will need to search and read some of the threads on the subject apparently it was either 07 or 08 that they changed it and there is something about the colour inside it that tells which one you have. the good news is that once you have the beast runnin right you will always have a grin after every ride

ROFLMFAO. That's a classic.

Hanso. Thanks. Now I have to go and work out what a TPS is.
My poor shrunken by years of alcohol abuse brain is going into thermal melt down now.
Just when I thought I had worked out the answers someone comes along and changes the questions.
