competition for Rocket 3??

Well interesting reading have not been on the site for a while.
I got a customised non-chrome/blacked out version of the 2014 Roadster (my 2nd had a 2010 previously) luv the bike - I also got a 2004 Honda Rune (Valkyrie) and just ordered the new 2014 Valkyrie ABS in black. So will be making some rider comparisons when it arrives.

The Rune is no slouch it picks up speed very quickly, very well balanced and so smoooooooth, it’s a bit of a sporty Cadillac though ……! Even sounds like a 6cyl car with its shorty exhaust. Not really a comparison at all to the Roadsters raw power and brute force …… Anyway the 2014 Valkyrie looks much better in reality then in pics (it’s a big muscular looking bike and style wise, looks very up to-date) its 19kilos lighter than the Rune, different air intake, suspension and exhaust setup so there should be a noticeable improvement in power/performance?

The Rocket is no great beauty more an acquired taste like the Busa (I’ve had 2 of them also). To me it’s about having a bike that has power, torque (big engine) some performance, not common, character and different from my other bikes.

I think Rockets, Roadsters and Tourings, are the most handsome bikes on the road. Their appearances are perfect representations of what they actually are. We wouldn't want "The Rock" to look like Zac Efron.

I think Honda makes a great product. They just don't have any soul. I've had the Goldwing thru CBR1000F. They are so refined, you can't sense the bike or feel the power. You just move...... Its like driving a car. Harley's have soul because you feel the bike and what its doing. Rockets have that same feel, just on steroids. Just my 2 cents.

Honda was supposed to have spent $100000 building the 1st Rune. Looks like they spent $100 conveting a goldwing into this one.

Without a shadow of a doubt, it has to bethe most pigging fugly bike well possible next to an Ariel Leader.

Without another shadow of a doubt either Rockets are truly beautiful.
