Have had my motorbike license since 1976 and have always worn ear protection on any bike I ride, no radio like Paul the music from the engine is enough for me.
Once that ringing starts it is not going to go away, I should have typed in capital letters for those hard of hearing

When I started work it was in a room full of impact printers and load of spinning disks. The sound was easily 100db plus.
That did as much damage as anything else. A mate of mine did take our employers to court - but lost. HSAW - in 1979 - Ha!

The plus was the money. It was seriously good. I bought a brand new top end car on 5 months Overtime payments.

Oh yes Tinnitus like the Tax man - is here to stay.

I've been in M/C Mechanics and Engineering all my life, in the early days of coarse noise wasn't even considered, but when I got into Engineering with Machine Tools running all day, that was a different story.

Fortunately I don't suffer from Tinnitus.
