Chronology of a modification disaster.

True. Perhaps you should show the dealer the handbook/manual where it states that the tickover shoud be 800?

Also true that the R3 has a different feel, same way as a twin cylinder bike will feel different to a 4 cylinder. I think they're idiots. Anyone who takes days to test a tps is a definite idiot. Maybe you should contact a different dealer, or if there are none near, contact Triumph America?

Mine was running at a high idle, and also stalling. It started when I was about 20 miles from the house. I stopped by my friend's performance V-twin shop where he told me about stepper motors and TPS'.

He adjusted my stepper motor just a bit in order to get me to the dealership where they replaced the TPS. It might be that the stepper motor needs a bit of tweeking.

Even if you have to buy the TPS, (if your bike is out of warranty), that is the way to go. However, with all the faulty TPS issues, I don't think you should have to buy one, but with that said, since you have the PC III undone, they should be able to determine the TPS is bad. Then buy the TPS if you have to and hopefully you are good to go. I hope it works out soon for you. Just make sure you get the new TPS as posted earlier in this thread. Good luck! Also, there are plenty of good PC III tunes available from us guys who have PC III's if you need them depending upon your current setup!

My soap opera just ended with no resolution! What was the final result?

Inquiring minds have nothing better to think about.
