I had a set of those on my Roadster and they do sound ok (a deep rumble not a raspy crackle) but I opted for some stainless custom built ones from the UK. Half the weight slightly larger bore and performance is up, and I am happy with that. Like Hanso says it depends how much you want to spend and what you hope to achieve.

I have the 3 pipe equivalent on my '09 and reckon they'e pretty good. Loud but not too loud and a good performance gain with the triple filters and right tune. As others have said, you can get more power and better sound (these are bit raspier than some options) for more money but I personally also feel that they are maligned a lot more than they deserve and in some cases have given better torque numbers that some of the freer flowing full systems. In other words, these represent excellent value and will give you good results. Look good too.

If I wanted to improve the breathing of my 2011 Roadster, would the addition of these:

Triumph Rocket III Roadster Accessory Mufflers - British Customs

and addition of the triple K&N setup and a re-map be a reasonable start?

Bear with me I'm new here, but absolutely expect sarcasm...:).

Mate two reasons I got the triumph mufflers (TORS) put them on last Friday.

First and foremost I want to keep my 2010 rocket 100% Triumph or as close to it as possible. Second is the cost, no rich & until I get back to work have to crawl before you can walk.

By the way the sound is a definite rumble that is a fair bit louder than the standard pipe, haven't noticed any difference in the performance except for the sound.

yes but you can do a lot better than those mufflers as they will only give minimal gain, the real question is how much do you want to spend:D

Hanso can you remove some of the performance restrictions in the lower gears with you laptop???
