Bolt fell behind the oil tank . . . how involved to move, or let it be ?

Thank you everyone.

I found a bendy probe with magnet buried in my tool chest, and fishing around with that for a bit, did the trick. The bolt was indeed gently wedged between the oil tank and the engine, and apparently the magnet nudged it just so, and the bolt came rolling out and onto the floor.

Many thanks !!!

Good stuff!

And just as a matter of interest..... one of our group left that same bolt in there, and halfway on a week-long ride his throttle started sticking at about 3,000 rpm. No it wasn't the TPS... the bolt found its way under the throttle stop linkages............ that'll learn him............

Hmm I am still waiting for my tank bolt to show back up :)

I have a telescopic probe for just such occasions and have become very well versed in using it............
