Bollocks - Transmission failure.

MTC Engineering USA - spendy but nice. But also cheaper than a new clutch basket assembly
Cant find them on the MTC web - Odd?. But something to plan for the next detent spring replacement.

Assuming I stop the leak!. Coz if not I am going back to air cooled!.

Tony - found their page but no mention of the R3 basket.
Oh ok - as they do a lot of different thing maybe they don't list everything.

The basket price is $479.80/ea mounted on your gear (USD)

So one needs a dead (or spare) clutch basket to start with!. Aha!

Yes you do and you need to send it to them to mount it - a tip would be to find one in the USA and have it shipped to them - cheaper. Unless like me you have a broken one to send. Also when buying a clutch for its base assembly look for wear at the springs.

Did a hot test yesterday (in the garage) - hit the thermostat twice and SO FAR - no fluorescent dribbles.

One thing has struck me though. What ***wit put the filler cap lower than the highpoint of the rad - AND moreso on the left.
Air will always move to the highest point. On the propstand air cannot get out. It's not on the propstand - but!!!!

To self bleed you have to ride uphill and on harsh slow right handers.

Every other bike I have noticed - the cap is on the right. :coffee:

Now waiting to see if the almost freezing fog clears.
