Bet that was a upholstery repair.I haven't had to clean the rotors yet but I keep a can of brake cleaner around. Spray some on a rag and wipe.
The wheels are uncoated aluminum and using car wax or rain x after a good polish helps with the next polish. You dont have to work as hard to get them clean.
I still had my front brakes so it wasn't an "Oh ****" moment. I initially thought I had a brake failure on the rear, however, as I called myself being very careful with the WD, but the brakes came back slowly; I was on my way to work (25 mile ride one way). The brakes came back by the time I got to work and I've never had another issue so I had to have inadvertently rubbed the oil saturated rag on the rotor somehow.
