Exedra Max on rear, 12.5 progressive 444's, Just installed progressive springs with 7 weight oil, and running a 140 Michelin 11 Scorcher on front. (Tire is made for Harley's) Should be interesting after replacing head-stock bearings and front wheel bearings along with the progressive springs. Really like the Scorcher. Handles well under all conditions and has more traction then the Cobra especially in cold weather. Tread wear is even with no cupping. Does wear faster than the Cobra but performance makes up for it. Might add that this is the stock tire for Harley's V-Rod. Forgot to mention: Will be replacing tires this month. Going with the same set up.

Sonny,
You be set up pretty much same as I, with the exception of front tire brand and I run 10# in my forks.
1 month and 3 days & I be OUTTAHERE for Stearns!

LOL of course. I am SPECIAL!!!
:roll::roll:

Alrighty, Amigo!
I have added your set-up into the mix.
FYI -
Almost a degree more rake, yet just over a quarter inch less trail.
Just over three quarters of an inch taller seat height surprised me a little.
No way my shorty stems could tolerate that nose bleed seat height.
Your set-up produces the least rake and shortest trail of all.

But do they wear and wear and wear? I'll be replacing the Metzler stockers on my Touring and will be casting about for a better tire, as I've been doing on my many bikes over the past 100 years.

The search for the best tire continues.
I ran Dunlop 251 D on my touring. They are expensive, or were, haven't bought any in a long time. The grip in wet or dry is awesome. When new, it handles like you won't believe. Very worth trying.

That is funny. I just came in an hour ago. Tested the same tire as I just put it on the other day. Scott Warp9.9 said to try it. I did and what a difference, and am glad I did

I look forward to getting on some curves next month to test it out.

Though I must admit... I forgot I put a Michelin Commander II on, not the Cobra.

That there Dunlop D251 is an excellent tire!
I only wish there was one that fit my R3R. :(

Mox nix as far as I,m concerned.

When I put Avon Cobra on the rear of my Rocket the increase in lean angle was mazzive.

Keep scraping the pegs or the edge of my boots.
Yep, you guys got this one right. Just switched this year from Metzlers to Cobras on both front and rear for my R3T. Rolls side to side effortlessly. Very smooth and enjoyable. If they last the season, I will be happy guy.
