Another Custom Exhaust system

Les's induction prototype is going on my bike for a while .. going to stand out like dogs balls on a cat as they say .. fingers crossed the induction noise will ... fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck off !!!!!
Whilst I hope for your sake the noise stops - I bet it wont.

IRR3's comment re the secondary helps stifle the symptoms but not the cause.

My R3 has the secondaries different in every gear (and not stock) - And I've pissed about with them for ages to archive a different goal. Makes no difference - if the K&N's are wont to slap like a wet halibut at a given RPM - they always will to some extent - it's pure physics. Simply they're a filter that happens to fit but not necessarily the right one for the engine. They make no attempt to direct and flow air correctly. They mess up fuelling around 2250rpm something rotten.

I tell you: it was may major worry when I fitted the prototype RAMAIR - I was really worried it would be as bad, and would have to tell them all that hard work was for nowt. It isn't - thank God!

Yes te

Yes tell us more.

I foresee quite a few people wanting to purchase bearclaws in the near future to replace modded ones

The thing is if you fit high compression pistons there is no 'chirping' at all. Found this out riding Ponters bike and he has the large exposed K&N's. I rang Neville Lush and he confirmed it's the high comp pistons that stop the 'chirping' noise.

Only one way around it .. we all got to get our engines bombed !!!!!
