Another Custom Exhaust system

Well I have had my 2006 R3 Classic for nearly a year and after doing the usual relay & ignition wiring mods etc I brought a cat delete & TORS mufflers but they weren't quite what I was after.
Having a mate with a custom exhaust shop has been great as I can leave the bike there while working on it.

I had flanges CNC machined and have just got my pipes back from the ceramic coaters.
The shiny finish to go with all the other Classic bling :)
I am staying with 3 muffler look although with a complete internal redesign.

Here are a few pics knocking them up and back from the coaters.
I will post more when it it finished.

Cheers,

I stopped past and gave Les a visit today had a look at his headers and I must say they look absolutely fantastic great job

To finish off I wanted it to get more air in and after checking out what a couple of captains have done with foam filters.
I modified & fitted up a BMC panel filter into the standard airbox

Awesome Les, Look even better on the bike, now you just need a full bear claw with just a few slots ( you know how they used to put in the bonnets in the good ol days, just a cut with the metal pushed up to form a multiple mini scoop effect) along the top edge to draw cool air down on it and you will be sweet, look forward to seeing the trims after you have done more k's :)

Dyno Result

Seat of the pants dyno felt good, but just to be sure I got the bike dynoed at SERCO Racing this week.
The first run was as is with Hanso's PCV & Auto tune map.

They smoothed out some light throttle surge at 2200 to 2500rpm and brought it to life abit more :D

This would be the cheapest horsepower gain I have ever had so its time to stop playing and get out and ride more.

Nice work - How good is that torque 'curve' from 2500 to 5000rpm!
