Another Custom Exhaust system

VERY NICE PIPES there Les....
I have noticed my gear lever not returning as it should, It seems to stay up for a bit then comes down before the next gear change . I am using Motol full Synth oil.
I should talk to the dealer its still under warranty..
Thoughts anyone??

I had not intended to cause it to go off topic just mentioned it Sorry
Les and I have been discussing building our own systems for a while now and only mentioned the spring as it is another small hiccup before I start making mine I would also like to Publicly Like to Thank Les for the phone call I just received with a kind offer to send me a spring he has just another show of the great mateship on here also had a offer of Gaskets that Ruzz happens to have no wonder It feels like a big happy family here most of the Time

What sort of money mate ... if you don't mind me asking. If it's a 'love job' or 'mates rates' can you ask your mate what he'd charge a strange stranger just trying to get an idea what sort of money i'd be looking at to have a set knocked up... BTW they look really smick mate , he's done a nice job.

I have built them myself using his gear so its mates rates sofar.

We have spoken about possibly doing a jig and him making them if there is enough interest
I'm back there Friday to hopefully finish it off so I will talk to him about pricing etc.

He had his BMW (Parri dakar type thing) dynoed by Fred at ProCycles and he took the pipes to show him and he thought a single muffler version should be good......which would be easy enough to do

What are doing about heat shields?

I was going to see how they go first, I did quite abit of sitting on the bike during mockup stage and there is alot more clearance than the standard pipes.... hopefully

mate its all that horsepower and torque you have... maybe the gearbox doesn't like it !!!

Oh Sorry Tony, you are being serious about your bike playing up I thought you were having a cheeky go at me because Peter and I had strayed off topic, I would definitely be taking it to dealer to at least let him know there is a potential problem

Back in the day when I used to do race car pipes it was sand bend the tube or lobster tail cut with a hacksaw.............. mandrel bends make life so much easier
