3800 Lumen H4 LED Headlight

If you are using a LED bulb in a reflector designed for a H4 bulb you will never get the headlamp aligned, the light source is in the wrong position and wrong shape.

Heh! Heh! Heh! Of course not. :D
The Euro reflector is used with the H4 and is a less expensive improvement over the OEM lights that the LED.

Thanks Steve. How did you like the light pattern at night ?

Bill,
Twas a definite improvement over OEM, but not equal to the DayMakers.
I still have them if you want . . . come get them for free as well as a free flop and dinner. :D

Hook a brother up man!

Seriously though. If they are a decent improvement, I am all about purchasing a set. Have any pics of before and after with the lamps changed out?

I think I need to come see you Steve. When is a good time for you ? Are the reflectors metal or plastic ? Do you have any pictures of the difference ?

thanks!

I have been trying to align the headlights on my garage door, but the light scatters much more than the h4 bulbs. Any ideas on making sure they are aligned properly?
I rode the other night and can see just about every road sign from a mile away, but as far as seeing the road, that is another story. I can definitely see the road about 10 ft in front of me before it get about as black as it can be. It is a strange and different experience for sure.
Having read the later posts, it seems that there is more to it, than at first appears.

However, I did a straight swap and went to the local Supermarket, measured out 25 feet and raised the 'hot spot' to the correct height. Suffice it to say, that it's much better than the OEM arrangement (I couldn't ride with the original setup). I hadn't even seen, or heard of 'Daymakers', until these posts. Good Luck!

Strangely enough, the relectors work terribly with the H4 bulbs they were "designed" for, but work extremely well with the LED lights. They must have got it bass ackwards.

Bill,
I never tested them, but noticed an improvement.
Let me go locate them and get you a couple photos and more info before you trip up here.

I agree the stock head light is terrible, I bought my R3T at night, as soon as i got home I ordered a new reflector and bulbs form Candlepower.
