Just a suggestion try putting bike into second gear ignition on release clutch rock back and forth engage clutch try to start if no joy then you need our resident guru @DEcosse
 
Turn on key, kill switch in run position
Pull clutch and hold the start button:
Do the headlights go OFF while you have start button pressed?
If lights do NOT go out, then start relay is not operating - most likely clutch switch ( or low system voltage)
If lights DO go out, then starter relay is switching & potentially a solenoid issue

Thanks for your help. The lights do not go out. I checked the starter relay and it tests good. Must be clutch switch.
