Yup, if you really want the forward controls of the standard, I bet you could find a Standard owner who's willing to swap out controls/rails for the roadster setup.

With the stock std version, the shocks suck, and it's the first remotely cruiser like ride I've had. I would prefer my feet back a bit...

I have a set of pegs/rails/shifter/brake/etc off my '08 standard I'd part with. Just in case someone wants to move their roadster forward.

JEEZUS warp9.9, that must be a beast. I've ridden several Hayabusas with turbos but never a bike that was supercharged. I never really got the boost gage up when I rode them either

Thanks for the info guys. I still have to take the ride over to St. Pete and see if I can make a deal.

Yes its a wild ride when the boost is above 10 psi for sure. I am in the middle of a upgrade to the Millennium Falcon.

I call this the TransWarp Drive initiative

Oh and yes the Roadster has H rated Meztlers on it now. that is right in line with the speed limiter.

I really have respect for you guys that do these incredible performance builds. I had all the power I felt comfortable with on my mildly modded Busas. Having riden a few really fast ones made me even more sure of this :p I'm sure I'll be happy with an exhaust, intake and PC on a Roadster.

I've had my '10 Roadster since April, and I sat on an '11 one at the NEC bike show in Nov. I couldn't see any changes apart from the colours, and the footrests are just the same. I don't think Triumph have done anything for '11 except use new colours - as they had just dropped the price when they launched the Roadster ( in the UK anyway) they won't be spending any more on changing it until they have to.

Go for a '10 and save some dosh that will buy you TORs, a straight through crossover pipe and use Tune ECU to re-map. If you haven't worn out a rear tyre by 3000 miles you don't need any more power!

I'm taking mine to a track day soon.......Knockhill

I'd be happy with a new '10 if I can find one here in FL. Bascially, I'd like to buy new, whatever the best deal I can find. Finding these are a bit harder than Harleys and Busa's!!

Check out the Roadster for Sale thread by Bryon540. It's a really fine machine with only about 5500 miles on it. Plus it already has a lot of the mods made to it.

Personally, the only thing that would motivate me to buy an '11 model is the new matte red color. If I wasn't so hitched to my '07 Mulberry Red Mistress, Bryon's bike would be in my garage. That's a very attractive deal he's offering, IMO.
