Stebel horn installed; in place of OEM horn

That Mickey mouse horn just had to go! After failing to get the Risers installed on my Rocket, since I already had the "pull back" handlebars on my Classic (and the cables turned out to be too short with the new Rivco risers) I decided to tackle the second project for my new Rocket. I...

    Stebel horn

I just got my Stebel horn mounted today, and it wasn't to bad of an install. Thanks to Tdragger and others who posted their "how to" info, it was very helpful. Let me just say that, if Snuff can wire it...anybody can. And yes, the horn will wake the dead:cool:

    The naked horn

I decided to go the cheap route for my replacement horn. I went to an Auto Zone store bought a regular horn, took off the horn grill and swapped it out. Didn't take long and at least this horn is loud....a lot louder than the stock horn. I decided not to put anything over it and just ride...

    Rivco Air Horn

Has any one installed a rivco air horn I believe I have it figured out but wanted to get any takes on it. I have every thing planned out in my head, mounting the compressor under the side cover and placing the horn on the engine guard.

Is there a simple horn option?

Guys, is there an electric horn, louder than the stock one, that can be mounted in the same place using the factory wiring? (no modification, simple and easy, R3T) Had a women enter my lane while talking on her cell phone. I pressed the horn button.... it's about as loud as blowing my nose...

    Horn Refit

After hearing the Nautilus horn that some of you had at E.S. I tried to find one locally here to no avail. I did however find the exact same horn at Harbor Freight, branded under the "Big Boy" name. I compared the horn to the photo's on the internet and its seems exact. Also it's made in Italy...

I am fitting a couple of horns in my r3. The low-high type. Do I must put a relay for them or can I just use the existing wiring for the original bipbip horn?

    Stebel Nautilus Horn

I couldn't stand the meep-meep anymore so I ordered a Stebel Nautilus to mount under the left side panel. As others have posted before, it was not a particularly difficult install. I mounted the horn using the bolt through the airbox method. Very easy, very secure. The relay was mounted to a...

Stebel Nautilus or WOLO Air Horn

Stebel Nautilus under left side cover, with it's relay to the upper right. This is a phenomenally loud horn, even under the cover. A couple of extra length wire leads were needed to run from the stock horn leads down to the horn and it's relay. A hot wire with fuse was run to the battery...
  10. Rivco's "Magnum" Electric Horn

Hello, Have a couple of pending orders from my fellow Rocket club (RCE) members for that horn. Any testimonial in terms of sound (Rivco claiming 118 decibels) , ease of installation, value-for-money etc. most appreciated BEFORE I let Rivco ransom my credit card Thanks much. Jamie
  11. Horn Electrical Circuit

HeR3tic wanted to know where it would be most convienient to hook into the stock wiring harness to install an aftermarket horn, so I did a little digging around. I turns out that the horn is activated by a switchable ground, which means that 12 volts is supplied at all times to the horn when...

    Air horn installation.

Hey guys, I've posted a few pics of how the air horn mounting turned out. See my photo album (newest 3 photos). I have a few more but not as informative as these. I really like the hinged "P" clamp from Kuryakyn, it sure put the horn just where I imagined it to be. I gotta get some black wire...
  13. Horny?

Thought it was spam didn't you. The horn on my truck went out so I thought I would buy something a little different. So after some shopping around I found this. http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200326940_200326940 Pretty easy to hook up, no relays...
