I've been riding since I was 14, that comes to a bit over 54 years. Done quite a few miles and been some interesting places. I've always been as interested in 4 wheelers as I have in 2 wheelers. Had a few interesting cars over the years, Mustangs, Corvettes, Vipers, and just recently picked up a 3 Series BMW. My wife had an older one several years back and I really liked the balance of that car. I was stuck in my pickup at the time, needing that to tow our race car. So, when the opportunity came along to pick up a year old one at a good price I snatched it up.
I've probably owned almost as many bikes as cars but just haven't found myself wanting to ride as much lately. So, rather than let the Rocket sit in the garage and gather dust I felt it was time to let her go to a new home. For now I'll spend some time and money on the BMW and see what fun it holds. If I get bored with that then we'll see else comes along. If I get another bike it will be something smaller and lighter. Something more suited to day rides than week plus rides. Maybe a dual sport, that is if I can shake the memory of the KLR that pitched me off into a big rock a couple of years back. Broken ribs suck, especially at my age.
