This was for sale at local dealer but sold in a day.

Had fork guards too in the carbon too.

Forgot to get picture of whole bike.:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

I have a sh*t before I ride. I reckon I save about 1/2 a kilo!

Seriously though, apart from the exhaust and air intake, replacing the rims with carbon fibre would be the biggest weight saving. At a price though.

Light weight disks would help a bit.

Indicators.

Carbon fibre guards and side covers.

The law of diminishing returns hits with a vengeance.

Going on a diet would make more difference.

Anything I have missed?

No chance a diet can match what can be cut off the rocket, I’ve not done all of these yet but these are the easy ones:

Exhaust Replacement - 30kg saved
Front/Rear fenders - 9kg
Remove all the intake crap - 2kg
Passenger Pegs - 1.5kg
Tool kit - 1.5kg
Front indicators - 1kg
Foot pegs - 1/2 kg (lol)
Fork guards - 1kg
Carbon Wheels - 6kg
Ti fasteners on all the things - 4kg tops
EVAP crap removed - 1/2 kg
Alu bars and mirror delete - 2kg
Custom Bar clamp - 1kg

From there it gets much more interesting but added up that’s 60kg. Not sure about you but I definitely can’t lose 60kg in body weight.

With 1 gallon in the tank for drag racing the bike would be around 640lb vs 809lb full wet weight stock. It absolutely makes a big difference!

EDIT: I’m 204lb now, that’s not going down much, I like being this weight at 6’3”. I’ve recently been challenged to race a LS-218. ~200hp/164lb-ft, 496lb wet. Should be interesting :p. Considering a stock one only ran a 10.05 @141, I foresee someone on a $38k bike making a booboo face.

I wonder how much the carbon wheels would save? The stock ones are very heavy. I know a few people here have done it but the price is crazy.

I like the look of the carbon parts. The Carbon Dry ones are great but too expensive. Some of the other brands are cheaper. As long as the quality is still there.

I’ve a chance to pick some up for a good price, on the fence because it’s still a big outlay. I’ve read the difference isn’t as big as you might think, something like 15lb saved combined.

Carbon Dry - No one matches their quality. I worked in carbon manufacturing for a while, it’s top notch prepreg epoxy resin carbon made under vacuum, which is why it’s so pricey, true aerospace stuff.

I’m enjoying watching what you are doing to your bike, and most certainly enjoying the ingenuity and creativity you are doing to get your track times (cause we all know you NEVER use that power off the track ) I’m rooting for you to bust a 10
