Why compare Apples (Rockets) to Oranges (Diavels)

I have a rocket, i want a daviel and a bew vmax!!!

Hmm... I've got my Rocket, but I'd like a Moto Guzzi Griso and either a diavel or a streetfighter... and maybe a little street legal ****kicker to ride through winter... a stripped MST...

Anybody have about $300,000 they want to give me so I can buy some of the bikes I want?

Screaming Eagle V-Rod

127 hp to the rear wheel and 87 ft bs torque.......

This is my Son and his SE V-Rod.....Don't let that skinny little bike fool ya.....LOL

The Ducati , Guzzi , V-Rod and even the V-Max .. they are all nice bikes but I'm content with the bikes I've got. Were I to stumble over the $300,000 you mentioned I'd no longer be content though .. hahahaha.

Good day all, I recently ordered a R3R after a two year search for a new bike. You can go crazy reviewing all the head to head comparisons, cruiser smack downs, which one is faster, which one is better and then throw classification on top of it....cruiser, tourer, naked, street fighter, muscle.....I don't get Ducati classifying the Diavel as a cruiser just because of its more neutral seating position, nice bike and classify it any way you want but it still looks like a sport bike to me. I honestly dont believe that the VMax, M109R, Star Raider VRod etc...actually compare to the Rocket other than the fact they each have two wheels. I personally like each of those machines but when it comes to best bang for the buck I don't believe there is a cruiser, and I'm referring to a stock, on the market that can compare to the Rocket. That was one of the reasons I chose the R3R over all other brands. The other is the LCF....look cool factor and the R3R has that in spades. Triumph truly stands out in the crowd, so everyone else can build whatever they want, classify it any way they want and correct me if I am wrong, the Rocket still holds the title for the largest production bike in the world. Until someone builds a stock bike that takes that title away...there is no comparison.

I noticed no-one mentioned the G#*d W##g!!!!!
Well I suppose you can't call it anything like a Rocket....... But an armchair ... Maybe!

I'd like to see a V Max with forward controls. Reckon it would make a pretty god cruiser.
Having ridden both a V Rod and M109, I doubt any amount of bags etc would make them good touring bikes. Love the riding position for short bursts but any more than, say, an hour would be very uncomfortable.

I had a M109R for 3 years before the R3R , not a bad bike good all rounder . I did plenty of long trips 2 up gearsack bag and saddle bags . But i would put the R3R first every time , more comfy only because of the foot pegs allow you to lift your weight and shift around with ease, but what i do like is the superior handling and brakes and the power . I rode a mates M109R last weekend back through some twisties so he could have a ride on my R3R and it brought back memories all bad lol and sore ears from the blah blah blah from the exhaust . But the M109 is a good second place behind the Rocket the Vrod to small and not enough fuel for long trips , the diavel just a poser cafe jumper not any where near a cruiser :)

One of my mates owns a boulevard and I enjoy jumping on it. Its a big bike, veyr comfy and apart from being typical of a cheaper bike in finish quality I reckon it'd be a rippa bike to do lots of work to and get right. Here in aus they are about 16k to buy vs 24k odd for a r3r. In my view it is the closest thing to an r3 you can buy.

Diavel is a great comparison to the vmax and speed triple. In fact I reckon itd be the pick of the 3 for me right now if i was on the market to buy a naked. But remember, Ducati is turning into a great marketing machine. If they did comparo's to other nakeds they'd be hard pressed to sell any at nearly double the price. They are comparing it to the rocket because it is a similar price. The rest of it is marketing hype and bull****. Mind you I reckon if I bought one, 3 months of development and the cost of 3 new ones, id get it to look right.
