Gday guys

aint been on in an age, had to give the misses the boot :D and not been doing much since then other than sorting my **** out ;).

So now that there is some extra money around - not much but some, I'm looking to replace the rear shocks on my 2011 R3R . I regularly country ride in WA 1 up and occasionally two up and i am sick of even at 1 up getting smashed through my back when I hit a bump or dip.

So should I go eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

or here eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

the second are clearly more expensive but are they worth the extra??

Cheers

Simo

Ponters has Wilbers on his R3R... they were pretty firm when i rode it . He was going to have softer springs fitted which he felt would give him the ride he was after. I'd put Wilbers on mine if they weren't so expensive. I've got Gazi's on my bike , better than stock that's for sure.

Been told that Progressives won't handle the hammering of Aussie roads.

who did ya Gazi set up when you got them?

Bought it from Allan the Gazi importer , he has also revalved and resprung it for me . He's in Brissy on 0404718817 ..a really good bloke.

Just FYI
I put a set of Progressives on my 2012 R3R - They suck in my opinion.
I be thinking Hagon Nitro might be the ticket.

I know off two Aussie guys that have seals let go in the Progressives, If you can afford it go the Wilbers, I have the Hagon Nitros and very happy with them but with money was not an issue I would have gone with Wilbers and TC's Gazzi's are another good option which ever way you go make sure you have the right spring rate to suit you in other word have them tuned to your riding style and your weight

I looked those Wilbers up . . . BE STILL MY HEART
Gotta be platinum plated thingos in those puppies!

Hagons be lookin' pretty attractive now.:p

Not sure how progressive operate now but back a few years ago if you spent the money and went with the 440s you had a lifetime warranty if you were a cheeeep skate and went with the inferior 412 or was it 418s you got what you bought.

I'm liking the wilbers, just gotta justify the money. I hate getting smashed in the spine on the country roads, how much better is the handling with progressives?

Reckon if you've got the bucks ... you can't go past Wilbers or Ohlins shockies. Like Hanso said get them set-up for your weight , riding style , road conditions and you'll forget about the cost ... one day :D
