what's wrong?

Sounds like a loose nut or bolt has found it's way into the intake. It could still be in there so be careful turning the engine over. I would recommend using an inspection cam to check for a foreign object in the cylinder space.

Quoted..but... he's not really mechanically inclined,

Do NOT have someone that is " not mechanically inclined " work on your bike.
Seriously....

why do i bother with forums. lol

the OWNER of this bike is not mechanically inclined. he screwed it up, now its with me.. i AM mechanically inclined but am at a loss for what's wrong with this bike because i am 1000000% unfamiliar with them.

sure.. a motor is a motor, but it's not what i'm used to working on.

there's one guy who's giving me good info, can you chime in again please? thx

**** IT.. i knew i'd get ******* trolls on this forum who would feel the need to talk **** because they can't ******* help with the issue or even ask intelligent enough questions to help me diagnose it myself... **** all of you except the one guy who actually attempted to help. i'm done... you guys are pieces of **** looking to get a ******* reaction out of me, well you got it... **** YOU.

You have take the good with the bad on forums, so it's always a bit of a lottery. It is a bit difficult to imagine the noise you're describing though.

Not sure how something could have got in there but has your non-mechanical friend set about removing the secondary butterflies? Could one of the crews have been dropped or worked itself loose? You might want to pull the intake plenum (or filters) off the throttle bodies and have a look. You might also want to check all the plugs to see if they are all the same length. I have no idea what the actual clearances are so couldn't comment on whether a spun bearing would bring the piston close enough (Warp, where are you?). .....

Now look what you guys have done:mad: we have lost another non paying member looking for free advice instead of having someone check it out who knew what the f**k they were talking about.
I blame it on the aussies and the english especially WHU fans and all the other colonials, I do not understand why you all cannot be as nice as me:D

We are all pieces of $%^&&*& especially the WHU fan. On top of that we still don't know what year it is and if it could be one with the cam chain tensioner problem and the timing has jumped and I suspect we never will. In fact I have no idea why I am going to ride 1400 kms to meet you dickheads when there will no apple pie when I get there anyway..........:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Now, this is a funny thread!
If insurance sends you to a mechanic wouldn't you take it to one who's heard of a Truimph? :kk:
If you're a mechanic going to work on a bike you're unfamiliar with wouldn't the first thing you'd do be to at least google the freaking workshop manual?:eek:

You guys ran him off to soon...we didn't find out where his shop is so we know where to never go!! :flame:

Sorrrrry dude didnt mean to piss you off but since you brought it up you are the one who said the " cylinder " was bent if it was me i be getting all the info i could (like what plug was where and be going from there what year is this machine how many miles on it hows he drive it what has been done to the motor especially recently ) sorry did not mean to upset you dont wear youre feelings on youre shirtsleeves **** i try to make a funny once a day oh well
