What air intake is this?

Thanks. I did notice that which I actually like better. There is some wiring under the tank. I need to lift it to see more. It does drive great with lots of power. Very happy.

Warp ... cornering the used bearclaw market it seems :D post mine off Saturday mate.

Now to be honest with you if Wayne could have got a constant supply of those filters you woul probably have seen a bunch of triple filter for sale. the model alows more fresh cool outside air to the tbs had velocety stacks and incorporated the air temp sensor that gets put into a seperate filter. I believe the numbers on the dyno exceded the triple filters.

Wayne also said that they had a different curve on the middle intake so he designed it with air flow changes and looking at changes on the dyno

Yes Wayne is a good man I always try to stop there to have the beast thrown up on the dyno for a check up on my way to Daytona bike week whether she needs it or not. I figure there is nothing wrong with a check up. its a good half way point for me and I like visiting with Wayne. I highly recommend when ever your in the area stopping by and saying hellow. Beside the biscuts and gravy down south are great :D

Ya, but you guys got 43 of the 38 most poisonous spiders in the world

G'day guys,

It is a Pipercross filter, I sent Wayne Tripp several emails and unfortunately never got an answer so I made up my own set using a PX600 throttle body set up.I used the C6006 blank base plate, C602D domed filter rated to 220bhp some silicone elbows, extended the intake air temperature sensor and fitted it to the base plate, see photo in my album. Not an easy job but I think it looks better than triple filters. I still have some mucking about to do yet as I have some bell-mouths that I would like to fit to the base plate, but haven't had the time. Just fitted a Reband exhaust from Ric Paull in Victor Harbour so I will be off to the dyno in the next couple of weeks.Regards,
Duncan

Nice work Duncan did you have any problems with the throttle cable or linkages in the being in the way?
Just curious as I see there is a the 500 and 550 set ups that are 370 mm long verses the 435mm 600 series you used.

Warp, didn't have any problems at all with clearances. From memory it is 380mm from the outside of throttle body no1 to no3 so the smaller unit will not fit, the larger unit is perfect as you can fit the air temp sensor between no1 and no2. I will take some more photos and post them so you can see what I have done.
