Wanted: someone who installed the Rivco risers on the R3T

The classic bars at the handle area are more square to your hands. The Touring bars bend back towards you at the ends, so your hands are at an angle gripping them, I like my hands more square to the bars. The Touring is a longer bike, that's why the bend back, the Classic bars are too far away without the risers.

With the risers you can angle the stock Touring bars down quite a bit - and that does great things for the wrist angle, my wrists are almost straight and at a good relaxed angle. Before the risers my old carpal tunnel problems were flaring up after just a few weeks on the bike. I hate bars that make you angle your hands out too much, that's really bad for the wrists and plain uncomfortable, but the risers helped.

I put my Rivco Risers on today. I just relocated the Clutch cable. I will be getting a Barnett soon. Brake line was tight. Moved lever foward a bit to relive some pulling pressure. I am going to order a 2" longer line also. Angled the bar down a fair bit and went for a 50 miler. A bit better sitting position. More upright, but not Goldwing upright, ya know. The stock position (with the Long Haul seat) was fine. After an all dayer in the saddle, the right shoulder was a bit sore. Hopefully this will take care of that. So far though, the bike is coming along well in the comfort dept.

Not sure which would be cheaper but Triumphs Classic clutch cable is 3 inches longer than a Standards cable. Maybe compare with Barnett price .. might save a tank or two of gas ;) for all those miles you're doing.

Barnett has a "High Efficiency inner wire " and super slick lube inside. In test they get more pulls than OEM too. I kinda doubt that Triumph could beat their price. About $60. Gotta order the brake line too. Since I bought that Trumpet, I haven't stopped spending on it, When does it stop!

I'm not much for bling. I throw my worthless Federal Reserve Notes at the creature comforts. Better windsheild, better seat w/backrest, highway pegs etc. Oh ya, a little was spent on power (Thanks Wayne,) of course. It is a Touring after all. I'm on track to hammer out 14,000 miles this first season on my new toy. Just wanna be comfy, ya know.
