Here's a sneak peek of the combined radiator/intercooler/sc oil cooler fresh from Richard at TTS Performance. Testing should begin tomorrow and should get results soon.
2/3 of the core is devoted to standard radiator function while the other third is for intercooler duty. From what I can see of the hose fittings though, it looks like the blower piping remains on the right side of the bike and will still route piping under tank. Will have to see how the final fitment looks but Hombre might be disappointed since he was wanting no under tank piping.
The unit does look well made and I didn't realize until I inspected closer but it's a 3 in 1 unit that puts the supercharger oil cooler core in there too, so part of the 2/3 core on the radiator side is devoted to the oil cooler. That Richard is genius!
I'm betting the new unit will be lighter than the stock radiator too since it looks like it's all aluminum while the stock, I think, is steel. Will be interesting to see the results.
Here's some pics of the IC mounted without shrouds. Looks decent without the radiator coverings. What you guys think?
Richard was disappointed with the output on this bike though because of a restrictive homemade 3 into 1 exhaust setup, but they're going put another intercooler on different bike soon and should get some good performance numbers to report.
