There were no rebates on the R3T during that time frame so you were given correct information. The OP was not as the R3 has, and has had for quite some time, a $1500 rebate towards clothing & accessories or a lower finance rate.

yeah, I didn't think that dealership would have screwed me over... they went out of their way to help thier customers out. It's a shame they had to close down (owner had health problems).

unless you agreed to roll the 1500.00 into the deal to lower the price they owe you 1500.00 in goodies.

i say your dealer kept the money and bought parts with it to make a profit
when i got mine in may 09 i got the choice of 1500 or i think it was 4.9 financing

When I bought my America used, somehow I got $500 in accessories thrown in. That was in 06.

That was the dealer throwing in a little incentive for you. That's a pretty good way for them to seal the deal. The factory incentive often works out really well for the dealer. As I stated above, I got the $1,000 rebate on clothes & accessories when I bought my Tiger. I used it to buy the 3 box touring kit (panniers and top box). The cost of kit and all mounting hardware was right at $1,600 so the dealer actually did a little better than the rebate. I imagine that happens frequently.

Interesting thing is that he didn't even mention it till the end of the sale....but he did sell me a Rocket 4 months later

Spoke with a different dealer about a Rocket on EBay and was told again if a demo or last years model is sold less than invoice they either don't have to offer any rebates or specials, or they can use 950.00 of the 1500.00 as a cash discount of invoice price instead of giving 1500.00 in merchandise. Called another Texas dealer to confirm it . I was never told that, but now I see a good excuse coming, I guess I don't have to sign a release or anything? I bet that’s how it was done. I would rather have had the triumph merchandise I spent more than that on accessories before I picked her up. Oh well no sense crying over spilled milk, would not trade her for 2010 Electra Glide, ok well maybe to sell and buy another Rocket, hehehee I can see my inquiry will go no were with dealer, they offer no response and have no comment, let the buyer beware, case closed.......
